KATHMANDU: As many as 18 persons were injured after a bus hit a rickshaw in Chapur-1 of Rautahat district on Wednesday afternoon.

The bus (Na 3 Kha 9864) heading towards east from the west had rammed into the rickshaw, moving towards the same direction, at around 12:15 pm.

Among the injured, the rickshaw rider Sadarul Sheikh (46), local of the same area and two others are said to be critical.

They are being treated at the Chapur Hospital, Rautahat.

Police said they have impounded the bus and are searching for the absconding driver for further investigation.
