2 held on murder charge in Tanahun

TANAHUN: Police on Friday arrested two absconding suspects allegedly involved in a murder case in Tanahun.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Police Inspector Bhojraj Pandey arrested Gopal Bhujel (31) of Bhandara, Chitwan and Sudip Karki aka Soltee of Jasebhar, Sindhuli from Bhateri of Byas-10, where they were hiding, District Police Office, Tanahun informed.

Man Mohan Adhikari (32), of Byas Municipality-11, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Tanahun district on October 16.

In the same case, Hira Bhujel (17) of Tandi, Sunil Magar (16) of Pulchok, Rabi Shrestha (16) of Suryapur, Shankar Lama (18) of Kamalnagar and Arjun Shrestha (23) of Mathauli of Chitwan district have already been arrested following an FIR filed against them by the victim's brother Chandra Mohan.

All of the suspects involved in the case were currently residing in Byas-10.

During their investigation, police came to know that Adhikari had a scuffle with some persons while drinking alcohol at a tavern of Binju Adhikari, near the Madi River Bridge.
