KATHMANDU: Four Madhesi parties on Saturday unveiled protest programmes against the draft constitution.

During a meeting of the United Democratic Madhesi Front held today, the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, the Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party, the Sadbhawana Party and the Tarai Madhesh Sadbhawana Party Nepal informed that they would organise protest assemblies in various areas of the nation from August 4 to 9.

The parties said that they would organise corner assemblies in all the constituencies from August 4 to 8, protest assemblies in Dhankuta and Nepalgunj on August 5, Birtamod and Dhangadhi on August 6 and Hetaunda on August 9.

The parties have been demanding that the preliminary draft of the constitution be revised so as to delineate the borders of Pradeshes in the federal set-up.
