KHAJURA, BANKE: At least 60 houses built with thatched roof were gutted after a massive fire broke out at Chhitaipurwa of Holiya in Duduwa Rural Municipality-1 of Banke district on Friday night.

The fire was taken under control with help of the Armed Police Force (APF) and the locals, according to the Banke District Police Office (DPO).

What caused the fire is yet to be ascertained, police said.

Damages and Loss are yet to be evaluated, the DPO informed.

Nepal Red Cross Society, Banke, is set to hold an assessment of the damages and losses incurred in the fire.

Just six days days ago, three children of single family were killed in the fire incident in the Rural Municipality.
