As many as 68 families were displaced after flood waters from the local Band Khola gushed into Tiltali of Latamandu VDC-9, Doti, today morning.

The swollen Band Khola has damaged 68 houses.

Doti CDO Keshav Prasad Acharya said that flood waters from the local stream had gushed into the human settlement after boulders and stones blocked the water in the stream.

“The flood has put the entire village in jeopardy,” said CDO Acharya.

Residents of Tiltali erected tents on the road and took shelter for two hours there. The road was blocked for three hours after the flood victims occupied the road.

CDO Acharya said that road was cleared after the victims were shifted to another place. The flood water has inundated the houses of victims and swept away clothes and grains.

The flood has also damaged standing crops.
