CHITWAN: Police arrested seven cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist for trying to enforce a chakkajam in Chitwan district on Sunday.

The CPN Maoist had called the chakkajam from 9 am to 11 am today protesting the government's suppression on landless squatters at Sagarnath in Sarlahi.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, six cadres were arrested from Narayangadh and one from Madi.
