Ale’s kin force shutdown in Damauli

Damauli, September 11

Kin of Purna Bahadur Ale, who was allegedly murdered, today enforced a shutdown in Tanahun’s Damauli bazaar demanding a fair investigation into the  incident.

Hailing from Byas municipality-7, Manahun, Purna Bahadur had been temporarily staying at his sister’s home in Nirmalnagar-1. A tenth grader at a local school, he was found dead on Monday, two days after he had left home for tuition class on Saturday morning.

With multiple injuries, Purna’s body was found hanging from a tree on the premises of the Bigyanchaur-based Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus.

Claiming that he was murdered, irate locals and kin shut Damauli bazaar, demanding fair investigation into the incident.

The agitators also held a rally, besides enforcing a chakkajam at Bhorletar chowk along the highway for one hour.

Ale’s body has been kept at Damauli hospital after post-mortem as the deceased’s family has refused to receive the body. “If our demands are not met, we’ll be bound to intensify the agitation,” vowed the deceased teenager’s eldest brother Prem Ale.

Inspector Prem Shankar Chardhary of the District Police Office, Damauli, informed that two girls, among others, have been detained for investigation acting on an FIR lodged by the deceased’s family. “As the details might shed some light into the case, we are doing the same with the hope of getting some clues,” said the inspector.
