Bhotekoshi flood sweeps three more houses in Tatopani
CHAUTARA: A flood from the Bhotekoshi River swept away three more houses at Koplang village of Tatopani-2, Sindhupalchok on Saturday and Sunday.
Torrential rains for the past few days and rampant soil erosion by the swollen river have put human settlements in the area at a high risk of disasters, according to Police Inspector Khumlal Bhusal of Border Police Office, Kodari .
The Liping Bazaar of Tatopani has been deserted as the flooded river swept away many houses, forcing the locals to shift to safer places, he said.
