Constitution amendment bill not anti-nationalist move: Paudel

DAMAULI: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel said the Constitution amendment bill cannot be tagged as an anti-nationalist move.

Speaking at a programme on the occasion of the 41st National Reconciliation Day in Damauli, Paudel said the bill should be passed with CPN-UML and other opposing parties' consent.

He added that the opposing parties should resolve the discontentment through dialogues and help the government hold the three level elections—local, provincial and federal—on time.

He stressed on resolving the political unrest to focus on developing the country.

Leader Paudel also added that the late BP Koirala's reconciliation policy was still contextual at present.
