Opposition parties to continue protest against bill
KATHMANDU: The opposition parties including CPN-UML on Monday have decided to continue their protest against the Constitution amendment bill.
A meeting of eight opposition parties at the UML Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar decided to continue with their protest against the bill at the House, according to UML PP Deputy Leader Subas Chandra Nembang.
The meeting also decided that a demonstration would be staged at the Khulamanch on January 1, 2017, regarding the same.
The Parliament has been unable to move with its business after the govt registered the Constitution amendment bill on November 29.
The opposition parties have been obstructing the Parliamentary business demanding that the bill be withdrawn as it was against national interests.
Meanwhile, the Parliament meeting has been called for this afternoon.
