About 25 per cent of the construction work at the 27 MW Dordikhola Hydro Project has been completed.

The construction work, which started around two years ago and is scheduled to be completed in 2018.

Chief of the project Ram Chandra Poudel said that workon constructing the dam, tunnels, and the powerhouse were under way. He said that as many as 400 labourers have been working to complete the project work on time.

The contract for the project had been given to Himal Partner Company.

The project’s dam site is in Dhodeni, while the powerhouse is in Chiti of the district.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 4.23 billion, of which 51 per cent will be covered by the NRN, and 49 per cent by the IME Group.
