Fake medical worker blamed for woman’s death in Jajarkot

JAJARKOT: 38-year-old Panchakala Nath Yogi of Chedagad Municipality in Jajarkot died while on course of treatment for chest burns and fever on Friday. The relatives of the deceased blame the health worker of recklessness in treatment that killed her.

Following Yogi’s death, the agitated locals and relatives took on the streets demanding compensation to the kin and actions against the chemist operator Tilak Bahadur Bohora.

“Bohora, after check up injected three drugs and prescribed oral remedies while assuring that her condition was stable,” Yogi’s son, Kishor Nath said, “We were on our way back when she died.”

Moreover, Yogi’s grieving son held Bohora responsible for his mother’s untimely death while demanding action against the accused.

According to Police Inspector Lok Bahadur Bista, body of the deceased has been taken District Hospital, Jajarkot for an autopsy while the accused is at police custody for investigation.

Moreover, the District Administration in its routine monitoring had found that Bohora was illegally running the medical store using a license issued to a medicine store in Surkhet district. Bohara had agreed to shut down the store, few days ago.

It has been learnt that Bohora had no qualification certificate mandated by the medical council. Moreover, he was operating the medical store since 1997 using false license.
