Fresh earthquake hits Bajhang in Far-Western Nepal

KATHMANDU: A light earthquake struck Bajhang district in the Far-Western Nepal Region on Saturday.

According to the National Seismological Centre, Lainchaur, it recorded a tremor of local magnitude 4.2 at 12:28 pm NST (UTC 6:43 am).

It was an independent earthquake, and not an aftershock of the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25 last year killing thousands of people.

The NSC said the coordinates of epicentre are 29.54°N, 81.10°E.

The epicentre of earthquake lies close to Kadel of the district.
