DHANUSHA: Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi has said that homework has been started in his party for making Janakpur the capital of Province-2. Janakpur was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Mithila.

Addressing an election campaign assembly at Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nidhi said, “Nepali Congress has already started lobbying at the centre for making Janakpur the province capital.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Home Affairs Nidhi is contesting in the House of Representatives election from Dhanusha constituency-3.”

He asserted that he was vigorously working to make Janakpur the state capital and it was one of his election agenda.
