BHOJPUR: A woman was thrashed to death by her husband in Koshi Haraicha of Morang district on Saturday.

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office of Biratnagar, Sumita Pariyar (30) was beaten black and blue by her husband Yam Bahadur Pariyar over a minor dispute at their rented room in Salakapur of Koshi Haraicha-12 yesterday.

Critically injured Sumita was rushed to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan but breathed her last during the course of treatment.

The Area Police of Dharan has arrested Yam Bahadur for further investigation.
