Indian FinMin Jaitley to grace investment summit

Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley, has expressed his commitment to grace Nepal Investment Summit 2017, which will be held in Kathmandu on March 2-3, as per officials of the Ministry of Industry (MoI).
Organising a media briefing of the two-day summit, Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, informed that Jaitley will participate in the inaugural session of the summit to promote investment in Nepal. As per the scheduled programme of the summit prepared by MoI, Jaitley will deliver his keynote speech in the event.
Similarly, Jin Liqun, president of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, will also deliver his keynote speech during the event, according to MoI.
MoI is holding the event with an aim to harness investment potential of the country. Heads of different multinational companies and development partners working in Nepal, along with over 250 foreign investors and 300 domestic investors are participating in summit. MoI has set a target to draw $1 billion investment pledge in Nepal from the event.
