'Joint patrol' for wildlife conservation in CNP

RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: A joint patrol team comprising local community members, national park employees and Nepal Army personnel has been mobilised for wildlife conservation at the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

The joint patrol mechanism has been put in place to make conservation efforts effective and coordinated, shared CNP Public Information Officer and Assistant Conservation Officer Nurendra Aryal.

Two separate groups are carrying out patrols in day and night times. The patrol will be carried out in collaboration with the local community in buffer zone of the park while Nepal Army and CNP employees are undertaking patrol in the core area.

The conservation efforts have been made effective here by using smart patrolling, real time patrol, operation manhunt for the security which are all tech-savvy measures.
