Kaski Police nab 12 over theft, robbery

POKHARA: Kaski Police on Sunday made public 12 persons arrested on charges of theft and illegal drug related cases.

Law enforcement officers organised a press meet today and said that the officials made the arrests in response to the reported incidents of theft, burglary and loot.

Police made public 19-year-old Bikesh KC and Laxman Nepali of Pokhara-2 who made off with gold jewelry, watches and a tablet after breaking into Shivaraj Baral’s house at Pokhara-6 few months ago.

The officers also nabbed buyer of stolen goods Taranath Pariyaar of Pokhara-18 and Manju KC who used to trade illegal drugs in exchange for stolen goods.

Likewise, three persons were held on charges of robbing a family four days ago at Rithhepani in Pokhara-27. The arrestees have been identified at Pritiman Gurung (51) of the same locality, Gyama Bahadur Amarja (45) and Dinesh Baduwal (31) of Myagdi.

Similarly, police arrested Pratik Pahari (25) and Ganesh Pariyar (26) of Pokhara-7 on charges of robbing pedestrians of cash, mobile phones, watches, gold and other valuables.

Moreover, the Kaski Police prevented a robbery after arresting three persons on charges of plotting a bank robbery. The arrestees are identified as Sandesh Gurung (21) of Pokhara-14, Sunita Pun Magar (20) of Myagdi and Suchitra Thakali (19) of Pokhara Naya Bazaar.

According to Kaski Police Chief Om Rana, the accused will be charged in accordance with legal proceedings.
