Kidnapped Nepali industrialist Kedia 'rescued' in Motihari

BIRGUNJ: Security agencies in Nepal and India said on Sunday that industrialist Suresh Kedia, who was abducted from Bara district of Nepal on Thursday evening, was safely released from the Indian state of Bihar.

The sources in Kedia's family said joint efforts of Nepal Police and Indian Police resulted into the rescue of Kedia, who is one of the executive directors of Kedia Organisation.

A senior police official from Motihari of India confirmed that Kedia was released and is currently under the protection of Indian Police, according to Ashok Baidya,  the former President of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

Referring to the Indian Police official, Baidya informed the "Indian security personnel will make him public in some hours today".
