Mahato replaces Mandal as NCP PP leader in Province 2

JANAKPUR, JANUARY 5

Nepal Communist Party (Dahal-Nepal) Province 2 has removed Satya Narayan Mandal as the party’s parliamentary leader of the province.

Earlier, the NCP faction belonging to Dahal and Nepal had registered a no-trust motion against Mandal, who is loyal to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The NCP (Dahal-Nepal) faction held the parliamentary party’s meeting today in which the decision to sack Mandal as the parliamentary party leader was taken.

The meeting has elected Satrudhan Mahato as the parliamentary party leader of the province. Mahato was elected as the parliamentary party leader unanimously, said the NCP’s Province 2 lawmaker Govind Bahadur Neupane.

Out of 32 lawmakers of the NCP at the Provincial Assembly, 18 had filed a no trust motion against Mandal.

“Nineteen lawmakers had signed to elect Mahato as the new parliamentary party leader,” Neupane added.
