MAHOTTARI: A pregnant woman died after a wall of a local school building collapsed upon her in Pipara VDC of Mahottari district on Wednesday.

The Mahottari District Police Office has identified the deceased as Ranju Devi Dhankar (25) of Pipara-1.

Dhankar, who was reportedly pregnant, had gone to a local spout near the Aash Boarding School building to fetch water when the wall collapsed and injured her, informed Superintendent of Police Janak Bhattarai.

She was rushed to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for treatment. But, she died on her way there, Bhattarai added.
