PARBAT: A teenage girl who had gone missing has been found dead after 13 days.

Menuka Shrestha (17) of Ranipani in Bihadi Rural Municipality-3, Parbat was found dead in Mirmi of Syangja.

Her body was recovered from the dam of Kaligandaki hydropower project on Friday. She had been missing since November 25.

Body of the deceased has been sent to Waling for port-mortem, according to ward chair Rana Bahadur Oli of Bihadi-3.

Shrestha had reportedly left home in a state of anger after her father denied money that she had asked for. She is believed to have committed suicide by jumping into Kaligandaki river.

Shrestha was a Grade 11 student at Jivan Uddhar Secondary School in Gulmi.
