NC Kailali wants Amaresh Kumar Singh removed from party

DHANGADHI:  Kailali district committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) demanded the party to remove its lawmaker Amaresh Kumar Singh from the party for his controversial remarks.

Issuing a statement today, the committee accused Singh of making anti-nationalist remarks against social harmony and national integrity.

The committee claimed that Singh had warned to raise arms and to split Madhesh from Nepal during a programme organised in Tikapur of the district on August 13.

NC Kailali Secretary Prakash Bahadur Bam said in the statement that Singh should be removed from all responsibilities of the party including his general membership as soon as possible.

Bam has claimed that Singh's remarks made an attempt to jeopardise 'unprecedented social unity and warm connection between Tharu and hilly communities' in the Far-Western Region.
