Gautam likely to re-enter Parliament

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is likely to convince State Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Dhana Bahadur Budha to step down as lawmaker to pave the way for the entry of senior NCP leader Bamdev Gautam into the Parliament.

Budha was elected from Dolpa. If he quits Parliament, Gautam will contest a by-election from Budha’s constituency in Dolpa. The NCP is planning to nominate Budha as a member of the National Assembly after two years.

Gautam had lost in the recently held federal parliamentary election from his constituency in Bardiya.
