Nepal witnesses cloudy weather thanks to westerly wind

KATHMANDU: With the arrival of low-pressure systems via the westerly wind from the Mediterranean Sea, the country has witnessed cloudy weather today.

It has been assumed that the light rain would occur at various places in eastern and central regions and few places in the far-western Nepal, according to Subash Rimal, a meteorologist at Meteorological Forecasting Division.

There are chances of moderate snowfall in the mountainous region today, he added.

The weather will be cleared by tomorrow morning in most parts of the nation, while in the far-western region, it will be cleared only in the afternoon.

Few days ago, countries like Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and several other countries in the middle east had also witnessed the cloudy weather.
