Dahal for Rs 3,00,000 to each quake-hit family

RAUTAHAT: At the time main opposition Nepali Congress has stalled the House demanding lump sum amount of Rs 2,00,000 to the earthquake survivors, CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal on Monday opined that the government should amend the work-procedure in order to provide at least Rs 3,00,000 to each family.

Since Rs 2,00,000 was not enough to reconstruct earthquake-resistant house, Dahal, who is the top leader of a major party in the CPN-UML led ruling alliance, said the government should provide at least Rs 3,00,000 to each family affected by the earthquake.

According to him, he has already talked to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli about the matter. He was talking to reporters here at Chandranigahapur today.

If need be, a new work-procedure should be made in order to release the relief amount to the earthquake survivors, he said.

He shared that he has already suggested the Prime Minister to build up a new work-procedure to get over the shortcomings of the existing one.
