‘Not yet time to seek change of govt’
Biratnagar, April 15
New Force Nepal Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai today said it was not yet time to seek an alternative to the current government led by CPN-UML.
Taking to journalists at Biratnagar airport, Bhattarai said the government was too slow in implementing the new constitution and expediting reconstruction works. “So, all parties need to press the government to expedite the tasks at hand,” he said, adding, “The government has been very slow and sluggish. But, it is not yet time to seek an alternative to the current government.”

Bhattarai said making and unmaking of the government would create further political instability and anarchy in the country. “It is not time for us to indulge in making and toppling the government. Instead, we have to press the government to speed up its works as there are many challenges facing the country now,” said Bhattarai. On the issue of Madhes, Bhattarai said the government and major parties should seek a solution to the Tarai crisis through talks. “Tarai-based parties and the government have no choice but to sit for dialogues to solve the problem,” he said.
Meanwhile, addressing Madhes Awareness Campaign at Saptari’s Portaha, Bhattarai urged the government to address the genuine demands raised by the Madhes-based parties.
