KATHMANDU: A youth died in a hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Bardaghat Susta of Nawalparsi district on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bir Bahadur Adhikari (24) of Syangja district, currently residing in Chitwan.

According to police, Adhikari was walking alongside the road in Chisapani when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at 11:30 pm yesterday, critically injuring him.

Adhikari was rushed to the Parasi-based District Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:15 am the same night during the course of treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the absconding vehicle involved in the accident, said Area Police Office, Bardaghat.
