Petroleum black marketeer held in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ: Police in Saptari district arrested a grocer for selling petroleum products at a hiked price in Deurimaruwa VDC-4 of Saptari district on Wednesday.

Laxmi Yadav had been reportedly selling diesel and petrol at the rate of Rs 150 per litre to the folks of suburban and rural areas of Saptari district, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dan Bahadur Karki.

Police have seized about 45 litres of petrol and 4 litres of diesel from the grocery.

Yadav will be tried under the Black Marketing Act, said police.
