Polls only after Constitution amendment, says Nidhi

JANAKPURDHAM: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi on Monday said the government would head towards elections only after the Constitution amendment.

Inaugurating an office building of the Armed Police Force Border Outpost in his home district, Dhanusha, today, the Nepali Congress leader said the government would address concerns of the agitating Madhes-centric parties before the elections.

Meanwhile, Nidhi said the government was committed to holding polls at local, provincial and federal elections within next 11 months.

Claiming that the government would announce local poll dates very soon, he expressed his hope that all parties would take part in the elections.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister said the government would not spare any secessionist force from an action.
