President and PM extend wishes to Sri Lanka

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended cordial felicitations and best wishes to her Sri Lankan counterpart Maithripala Sirisena on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

In her message, President Bhandari today wished for the Sri Lankan President's personal health and happiness and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Sri Lanka.

Similarly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended his sincere congratulations to his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe, on the same occasion.

PM Oli, on behalf the government and people of Nepal and on his own, wished the Sri Lankan PM and through him the people for happiness and prosperity.

PM Oli also expressed the confidence that the friendly relations existing between Nepal and Sri Lanka will grow further in the years ahead.
