Sanskrit language, an ocean of knowledge: Ex-Prime Minister Nepal

MAHOTTARI: Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal believes that Sanskrit language is very rich while also being scientific and full of knowledge.

Speaking at the first conference of the alumni association of Rajkiya Sanskrit Secondary School and Yagyabalkya Laxmi Narayan Vidhyapeeth in Matihani this morning, he expressed his concern over the neglect of Sanskrit education.

Stating that the support of governments of all levels was necessary to protect and preserve Sanskrit, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader Nepal also committed all possible support from his side.

Dean of Purbanchal University, Shambhu Koirala said, in the event, that Sanskrit education was the major attraction of Matihani and hence drew the attention of leader Nepal towards preserving it.

More than 300 former students from two schools are taking part in the conference that began on Friday.
