DAMAULI: Among 16 participants, Sujana Shrestha was crowned the winner of Miss Tanahun 2015, on Saturday.

Sanju Ghale became the first runner up while Anjana Koirala followed her as the second runner up.

While former Miss Nepal, Usha Khadgi, asked, "As a woman, what are you proud of?," Shrestha (20) had impressed the judges with her answer to bag the award with a cash prize of Rs 100,000.

She was crowned by Khadgi.

Shrestha has pledged to work for the poor, helpless and economically backward people as well as development of promotion of tourism in the district.

The pageant was organised by Aakala Films and Events and inaugurated by SP Mohan Kumar Acharya.
