Three buses recovered from Jure landslide

KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force personnel today recovered three buses that were trapped in a landslide at Jure along the border of Mankha and Ramche VDCs in Sindhupalchowk district.

The vehicles en route to Kathmandu from Barhabise were partially covered in the landslide caused due to torrential rainfall yesterday night.

Deputy Superintendent of APF Ajay Chhatkuli said that security personnel cleared the landslip with dozers and managed to take the vehicles out from the landslide. No passenger was reportedly in any of the vehicles. The APF further said the disrupted road section was also opened by clearing the decks.

Likewise, APF rescued 11 persons fallen into Fewa Lake in Pokhara today. APF Headquarters said that 11 persons sailing on a boat fell into the lake when it capsized due to strong wind.
