TAPLEJUNG: Three persons of a single family died after a landslide triggered by torrential rainfall buried their house in Taplejung Municipality of Taplejung district on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as Bimala Magar and her sons—Manoj and Lalit—of Taplejung Municipality-2.

Meanwhile, an unidentified woman of Taplejung Municipality-8 has gone missing while another woman, Kanchhi Subba, was injured in course of running to escape the landslide.

Chief District Officer Chakrapani Pandey informed that a team comprising personnel of the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army extracted the bodies this morning.
