BHOJPUR: A one-and-a-half year old child drowned in a stream at Jante VDC of Morang district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Manish Tamang, son of Kul Bahadur Tamang of Jante VDC-8 of the district.

According to the Eastern Regional Office, Biratnagar, though Manish was found unconscious in the stream by the locals, he breathed his last on the way to the Jante Sub-Health Post yesterday afternoon.

A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Letang, is investigating into the incident.
