JANAKPUR: Streets and intersections in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City have been waterlogged after torrential downpour, on Monday.

The inundation has been attributed partly to lack of proper management of sewage system in the area.

The rainwater has seeped into several houses in all 27 wards of the City.

The incessant rainfall has left the district offices of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and the Postal Service Office among other others waterlogged.

Ananda Nagar, Balawa, Devi other areas have been inundated. The rain has also impacted telephone service and power transmissions here.
