Two leaders of agitating parties arrested

LAHAN: Police arrested two leaders of the agitating parties from Siraha district on charge of forcing the market to shut down.

Satya Narayan Yadav, advisor of the agitation struggle committee and Roshan Yadav, district member of the agitating Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party were held on the same charge.

Meanwhile, a bandh enforced by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) continues to affect life in Siraha.

UDMF cadres torched a motorcycle (Ba 41 Pa 4600) in Lahan on Sunday morning for defying the agitation.

Around 100 motorcycles were sent to their destinations under the escort of police, police said.

A large number of security personnel from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed in the places in Lahan like Hospital Chowk, Sahid Chowk and Traffic Chowk.
