LAHAN: A woman and her son died after in a lightning strike incident in Siraha district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Jurmi Sada (40) of Bhawanipur, Dhangadhimai-2 of Siraha district and her 12-year-old son Suraj Sada.

In the incident, Suraj had died on the spot, while his mother Jurmi, succumbed to the injuries on the way to a hospital, said ASI Raj Kumar KC at the Area Police Office.

Meanwhile, bodies of the deceased have been sent to Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital for postmortem.
