MALEKHU, DHADING: Two teenage boys have drowned while swimming in the Budhigandaki River in Dhading district on Tuesday evening.

Kushal Hamal (15) and Kasmik Hamal (13) of Salyantar in Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-2 in the district have been confirmed dead in the incident, according to police.

Though they were rescued alive from the river, they breathed their last while being taken to Kathmandu on a helicopter for further treatment following primary treatment at Salyantar, the District Police Office, Dhading said.
