HETANUDA: Two men drowned while fishing in the Rapti River in Manhari Rural Municipality-8 of Makawanpur district on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as locals Sita Ram BK and Tula Bahadur Pakhrin of Ramantar, Manhari Rural Municipality-7, according to the Manahari Area Police Office.

It took around three and half hours for Police and the locals to recover the bodies.

An excavator was also used for it.

The bodies have been kept at the Hetaunda Hospital for post-mortem.

BK was struggling to pull out the fishing net from the river, then Pakhrin also went for his support, meanwhile, both of them fell into the river yesterday, said their friend Krishna Bahadur BK, who was watching their activities.
