AC Milan coaches to train Nepali children

Kathmandu, February 15

Atlantic Sports Management Pvt Ltd is organising the AC Milan Junior Football Camp at Madhyapur Youth Association grounds in Bhaktapur from April 10.

The U-17 football camp will be conducted by Italy’s AC Milan Club coaches and scouting team, informed Atlantic Sports Management’s Managing Director Hari Khadka at a press meet here today.

“We are organising the AC Milan Junior Football Camp in Nepal with the aim of providing the healthy and safest environment for football training,” said Khadka, the former national team skipper.

He also informed a six-member team from AC Milan will travel to Nepal for the training as former players of AC Milan Stefano Eranio, who played for Italy national team for seven years, and Davide Corti as well as technical analyst Daniele Paccagnan have been confirmed for the camp.

Khadka said a total of 200 footballers from eight to 17 years will take part in the camp. “A maximum of100 children will be trained in first week. And four coaches will conduct the training for 100 children with one each for 25 children,” he added.

The registration fee for the camp is Rs 30,000 for each individual and the organisers will provide the participants with kits, travel and food and accommodation for the children from out of the valley.

Khadka also informed that Atlantic Sports Management will have to pay Rs 7.5 million to AC Milan for the camp. “We are in talks with various sponsors for the purpose,” the former skipper said.
