KATHMANDU: The Changbagh School, Valley Public, Shridiwa and LRI advanced to the semi-finals of the Brihaspati Cup Inter-school Mini Basketball Tournament here on Thursday.

In the girls’ section matches, Chandbagh ‘A’ defeated Innovative 19-18, while Valley Public registered a 17-9 victory over hosts Brihaspati VidyaSadan. Also, Shridiwa hammered Chandbagh ‘B’ 12-2 and LRI edged past Sanskriti 8-6. In boys’ section, Swornim beat Chandbagh 18-17, Angels’ Heart thrashed Nalanda 30-6, Pushpa Sadan outplayed LRI 25-12 and Baba registered a 17-6 victory over St Xavier’s School to make it to the last four.
