Gajurmukhi School claimed third position in the Coca-Cola Inter-school Boys Football Tournament here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.

Gajurmukhi defeated Mahendra Memorial Academy 5-4 in penalty shootout and in the third place playoff match.

The winners of the match was decided through penalties after both the teams played a 1-1 draw. In the regulation period, Bharat Chaudhary opened the scoring for Mahendra Memorial in the 21stminute before Rohan Dhital levelled the tally for Gajurmukhi in the 35th minute.

In girls’ section, Bhumre School defeated Chhahari Shikshya Sadan 7-0 riding on two goals each from Sunita Kunal and Udaya Thapa. Saraswoti Hamal and Damanti Pangeni added one goal each, while Sapana Lopchan of Chhahari scored an own goal.

Similarly, Seti Devi Sarda beat Amar School 1-0 with Preeti Rai scoring the solitary goal of the match.

Shree Shankar Saraswoti outplayed Shree Durga School 3-2. Goma Thapa, Ishwori Rawal and Rekha Rawal netted one goal each for Shree Shankar, while Rashmi Kumari Ghising and Sabita Rana Magar were the scorers for Shree Durga.
