NSA receives ski kits

KATHMANDU: Japanese Embassy in Nepal on Thursday donated ski kits worth two million rupees.

Japanese Ambassador Masashi Ogawa handed over the gears to Nepal Ski Association President Jeevan Ram Shrestha, who is also the president of Nepal Olympic Committee.

The equipment was provided under the Japanese government’s Sport For Tomorrow scheme, said the embassy in a release. The gears include 12 pairs of skis, six pairs of boots and six sets of ski wear.

“The Embassy of Japan is please to support Nepal’s enthusiasm in sport as that can contribute towards enhancing the cordial relations between the people of Japan and Nepal, the embassy release added.
