Shrestha off to NZ
KATHMANDU: Nepali ski player Safal Ram Shrestha on Sunday left for Queenstown, New Zealand to participate in the qualifying events for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
The Youth Olympic Games participant, Shrestha will undergo training under Japanese coach Kimura Osamu and participate in eight races — four each in Giant Slalom and Slalom events — during his three-week stay in New Zealand.
The Winter Olympics will be held in South Korea next year.
