JHAPA, FEBRUARY 20

Rastriya Prajatantra Party Central Chairman Kamal Thapa on Saturday said that possibility of snap-polls had increased in the country.

Speaking at a programme organised by his party at Gauriganj, Jhapa, Thapa held that the Supreme Court would uphold the government's decision dissolving the Parliament. He urged the party rank and file to be prepared for mid-term polls.

Noting that federalism was imposed by foreigners in Nepal, Thapa said the country would not be able to afford the federal system. He said that constitutional monarchy with Hinduism was the only alternative for the country.

Thapa said that joint efforts from both the king and people would save the people and the country. He urged all political parties to join hands to develop a democracy befitting the country.

Thapa charged that the parties had converted republicanism into a farce.
