Bansbari, MYA win

LALITPUR: Around The Himalaya Bansbari Club and Madhyapur Youth Association recorded victories in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Tuesday. Bansbari defeated Pulchok Sports Club 2-0, while MYA came from a goal down to beat Shree Kumari Club 2-1. Nishan Sunar scored a brace for Bansbari. After a goalless first half, Sunar put Bansbari ahead in the 48th minute and doubled the tally in the 69th minute. With their fourth win in eight matches, Bansbari remained at the third position with 18 points, one behind second-placed Khumaltar Youth Club.

Pulchowk are at the bottom of the 12- team standings with two points. In another match, Shree Kumari took the lead through Ashish Rai's goal in the 40th minute before MYA's Kailash Lamichhane Khatri levelled the scores five minutes later. MYA skipper Dhiraj Shrestha scored the winning goal three minutes into the second half. Both the clubs are tied on seven points with Shree Kumari ahead on superior goal difference.
