LALITPUR: Shree Bhagwati Club defeated Jhamsikhel Youth Club 3-2 in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Thursday. Nawa Raj Gurung and Mohan Bahadur Thapa Magar scored one goal each in the second half for Shree Bhagwati, who took the lead through an own goal from Sunil Shahi in the 11th minute.
Madan Syangten and Anish Chaudhary replied for Jhamsikhel. In another match, Ranipokhari Corner Team played a 1-1 draw with Shree Kumari Club. Ajit Gurung put RCT ahead in the third minute, while Arjun Gurung scored the equaliser four minutes from the final whistle. RCT were reduced to 10 men in the 68th minute after Sunil Raut Kurmi was expelled for second bookable offense. RCT remained at fifth on 13 points, while Shree Bhagwati climbed to eighth with nine points. Shree Kumari have eight points and Jhamsikhel are second from last with six points. Satdobato Youth Club lead the 12-team table with 22 points from eight matches, while Khumaltar Youth Club are second with 22 from nine games.
Around The Himalaya Bansbari Club are third on 18 points, followed by Divine Boys Union Club (14).
