Bara Police nabbed one person in possession of 45 kilograms of illegal marijuana, on Wednesday afternoon.

The arrestee has been identified as Babulal Chaudhary (aged around 50) of Baragadhi Rural Municipality-4.

Acting on a tip off, a team of police personnel deployed at the Langada chowki-based police security base camp arrested Chaudhary on Tuesday night from Pacharauta Municipality-8 in course of following four suspected individuals.

Three persons among the four fled the scene, informed spokesperson of the Bara District Police Office, DSP Gautam Mishra.

Chaudhary has been charged in line with the existing laws and remanded in police custody as granted by the Bara court while the search for the other three is ongoing, added Mishra.
